Jackie L. Keffer's Obituary
Jackie L. Keffer, age 86, of Elyria, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 6, 1935 in Fireco, West Virginia, and has been a resident of Elyria for the past 50 years, moving from Cleveland. He worked in manufacturing at General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a proud Unites States Air Force Veteran and a member of Refuge Church in Elyria.
Jack enjoyed golf, bowling, and hunting, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Scharma (nee Bryce); daughters Charmaine (Keith) Payne of Cincinnati and Christine (Wes) Taylor of Elyria; grandsons Justin, Timothy and Kyle Payne; great grandchildren Deacon, Grayson, Lydia, Calvin and Roman; sister Joyce Patterson of Colonial Hts., VA; many nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Edith (nee Lilly) Keffer; siblings Eugene Keffer, JoAnn Clark, Ronald Keffer and Kenneth Keffer.
Funeral Service Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Refuge Church, 7942 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria 44035, where family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Chad Britt will officiate. Interment with Full Military Honors will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
The family suggests flowers and/or donations be sent to Refuge Church.
