Jack Henry Mayse's Obituary
Jack Henry Mayse, age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Avon following a short illness.
He was born in Slab Fork, West Virginia and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1963 moving from Cleveland.
Jack served in the US Army as a Sergeant during the Korean War.
He worked as a die setter for Modern Tool and Die for many years before retiring in 1996.
He was a member of North Ridgeville VFW Post 9871 and attended Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and hunting and was a self educated innovator.
Jack was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who treasured his family. Survivors include his son, Leonard (Doris) Mayse of New London; daughter, Jaqueline Mayse of North Ridgeville; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavinia (nee Webb); daughters, Susan Powers, Elizabeth Whiting and Marina Kimble; parents, Leonard and Beulah Mayse. brothers Leonard and Bob Mayse; sister, Betty Dixon.
Friends may call Monday from 5-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Tuesday at 1PM in the funeral home. Pastor Jim Barta will officiate.
Burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville, where VFW Post 9871, North Ridgeville will conduct Military Honors.
