Jack Fontecchio's Obituary
Jack B. Fontecchio, age 59 of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland, following a long illness.
He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1977.
Mr. Fontecchio served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He worked as an electrical engineer for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District for the past 12 years.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville; Knights of Columbus Council 7970, North Ridgeville, St. Peter's Golf League. He enjoyed coaching football and baseball.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Mary (nee Crawford); daughter, Lisa Lime of North Ridgeville; sons, Stephen and David both of North Ridgeville; 3 grandchildren; brother, Ronald of Nashville, Tennessee and sister in law, Paulette Fontecchio, of Erie, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene Fontecchio and brother, Donald.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Knights of Columbus North Ridgeville Council will conduct a rosary service at 6:30PM Wednesday. A prayer service will be on Thursday at 9:30AM in the funeral home followed by a 10:00AM mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will be the celebrant. Private burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
