Jack Ashby's Obituary
Jack Ashby, age 83, of North Ridgeville passed away Monday May 9, 2016 at his home following a short illness.
He was born in Seacoal, WV. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 39 years after moving from Cleveland.
Jack worked over 30 years at GM Parma Chevy Plant, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the UAW Local 1005, where he managed a softball team, leading them to a National Tournament in 1970.
He enjoyed trading cars, listening to Country Music, and camping.
Survivors include his companion of many years, Nancy Florio, son Ricky of Riverhead, NY, son-in-law Kevin Winchell of North Ridgeville, grandchildren, David and Season Winchell and great grandson Ryker Green.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine in 1983, son Leonard Ashby and daughter, Sandra Winchell in 2013.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM and from 9AM until time of services at 10 AM Friday at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Reverend Dr. Thomas Joyce will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
