Ivka Frigan's Obituary
Ivka Frigan (nee Hrustic), 90, of North Ridgeville, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 18, 2011 at the Westlake Healthcare Center following a lengthy illness.
Ivka was born on July 10, 1921 in Planina, Croatia. Her family immigrated to Cleveland where she lived for 43 years before moving to North Ridgeville in 1994.
Ivka was a member of St. Paul's Croatian Church in Cleveland, St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville for 17 years and the American Croatian Women's Club of Cleveland for many years. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, gardening and time spent with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Branka (Jerry) Malinar of North Ridgeville and Marie (Ron) Ivkanec of Elyria; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and her brother, Anthony Hrustic of Croatia.
Preceded in death by her husband, Nikola "Nick" Frigan; daughter, Mira Frigan; sister, Zlata Hrustic; and her parents Paul and Ana Hrustic (nee Dumbovich).
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 -8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 10 AM (please meet at church). Father Bob Franco, Pastor will be the celebrant.
Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland.
