Israel Grossman's Obituary
Israel L. Grossman, age 79, of North Ridgeville, passed away, Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville, following a long illness.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was a resident of North Ridgeville for 21 years moving from Avon, where he lived for eleven years.
Mr. Grossman served in the Navy during WWII.
He worked for the Federal Aviation Agency at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, where he was a pilot from 1970 until retiring in 1990.
He was a member of the Valley of Cleveland Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and photography.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Marilyn; sons, James W. of North Ridgeville, Richard A. of Elyria and Stephen L. of Fairview Park; two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Toba (nee Levenson) Grossman and sister, Bernice Brown.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday at Ridge Road Cemetery #2, 3824 Ridge Road, Brooklyn Hts. Rabbi Alan Lettofsky will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
