Irene Looney's Obituary
Irene Looney (nee Hall), age 86, of Elyria, passed away Sunday at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph, Lorain following a short illness.
She was born in Pike County, Kentucky and had been a resident of Elyria since 1946 moving from Virgie, Kentucky.
Mrs. Looney was a member of Stoney Ridge Baptist Church, North Ridgeville.
She enjoyed traveling, loved gospel music and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, James of Elyria; daughters, Loretta Landin of Elyria and Kathy Downey of Dublin; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Glenn Hall of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morrow Looney in 1979; son, Bill Looney; brothers, Noble Hall, Billie Hall Jr., Lester Hall and Jimmy Hall; sister, Glema Roberts; parents, Billie and Myrtle Hall.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30AM in the funeral home.
Rev. Denver Daniel, Pastor of Christian Unity Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
