Hung Ling, M.D.'s Obituary
Hung C. Ling, M.D., 79 of North Ridgeville passed away Friday June 2, 2006 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake, following a long illness.
He was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1976 moving from Lorain.
Dr. Ling received his medical degree in 1956 from the University of Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia. He was a medical doctor in the Lembaga Criminology Department of Forensic Medicine of the University of Indonesia. He also worked as a Radiologist with the Russell & Berkebile Radiology Group in Lorain for 20 years, retiring in 1990.
Dr. Ling was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and the American Medical Association.
He enjoyed traveling and reading.
Survivors include his daughters, Maria Ling-DeMarco of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Francisca Ling-Barker of North Ridgeville, and Lucia Ling of North Ridgeville; grandson, Ian Barker; and two sisters, Julie Nara of Madison, WS and Laura Sutedja of Jakarta, Indonesia. He was preceded in death by his wife Kiok-Ing Ling in 1988 and his parents, Yin Chen and Yu Mei Ling. Family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held at 9:30AM Friday. Funeral Mass to follow at 10AM at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Rd. North Ridgeville with Rev. Dr. Richard Gonser officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
