Holly Lynn Gordon's Obituary
Holly Lynn Gordon (nee Holzworth), age 84, of Avon, OH, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at St. Mary of the Woods in Avon. She was born in Dover, Ohio, where she met and graduated with her future husband of over 50 years, Larry Gordon. She was a resident of Berea before moving to Olmsted Falls to raise her family and open a small card shop in the historic Samuel Lay House. She and Larry moved to Avon in 2001, where they spent their retirement traveling the country and summering at Lakeside Chautauqua - their beloved second home where they will finally rest together again in the Chautauqua Park Memorial Garden. Holly was an engaged member of Olmsted Community Church and delighted in gardening, card club, party planning, decorating, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandkids.
Survivors include her son, Geoffrey (Christine) of Novi, Michigan, her daughter, Gretchen (John) Allnutt of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Alex, Logan, Hollyn “Margo” and brother Brad Holzworth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gordon, brother, Jeff Holzworth, and parents, Glen and Thelma Holzworth.
