Hilda Skowron's Obituary
Hilda Skowron (nee Hauck), age 70, of Olmsted Twp., passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Wels, Austria and moved to the United States in 1952. She spent her childhood in Youngstown before moving to North Ridgeville in 1985, where she lived until moving to Olmsted Falls in 2011.
Hilda retired in 2010 as a clerk from Ben Venue Labs in Bedford. She previously worked for Waxman Industries in Bedford Hts.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville where she volunteered with the monthly outreach meals.
She was an avid reader who enjoyed crocheting, needleworking and embroidering.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Bill “Moose” Skowron; sons, David (Lisa) Skowron of San Antonio, Texas, Timothy Skowron and Daniel Skowron both of Olmsted Falls; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brian, twins, Emily and Eric; sisters, Elizabeth Veite of Medina and Sabina Mayer of Canfield.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Skowron; daughter, Denise Skowron; parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Heinrich) Hauck.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday at 10AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Private inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland 44110.
