Herta Franke's Obituary
Herta Frieda Franke (nee Schlaak), age 83, of North Ridgeville, passed away, Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake, following a long illness.
Born in Hammerstein, Germany and moved to Ohio in 1952. She was a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 47 years moving from Cleveland. Mrs. Franke was a former charter member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, North Olmsted. She enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, embroidering and dancing. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Siegfried; daughter, Sonja K. Miller of Largo, Florida; son, Rainer of North Ridgeville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolf and Martha Schlaak; daughter, Undine I. Franke in 1948; son, Holger S. Franke in 1992; sister, Geitrude Eschke. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday in the funeral home. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, Pastor of St. Peter Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
