Herbert Hintz's Obituary
Herbert J. Hintz, age 76 of North Ridgeville, died Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Cleveland Clinic following a long illness.
He was born June 1, 1929 in Sheffield Village. He had resided in North Ridgeville since 1986 moving from Elyria.
Mr. Hintz served in the US Army Infantry during the Korean War.
He was a member of American Legion Post 12 the past 52 years where he played in the Drum and Bugle corp. He also was a member of the State Highway Patrol Auxiliary and volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader for many years.
He enjoyed making wine, fishing, camping and vegetable gardening.
He worked as a Paint Sprayer for Fruehauf Trailer Manufacturing in Avon Lake for 23 years until its closing, then he worked until his retirement in 1992 at Smith and Jones, formerly Tappen in Elyria.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Evelyn E.(nee Scott) his daughter, Debra Krolczyk of Elyria; grandson, Nickolous Krolczyk of Elyria; 2 brothers, Albert Hintz of North Ridgeville, William Hintz of North Ridgeville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Parents, Frank and Irene Hintz, and one brother, Francis Hintz.
Friends will be received 12 Noon until 1:00 PM Memorial Service, Wednesday, June 8 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Reverend Bill Shomo will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
The VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors at the grave side.
