Henry M. Robinkoff's Obituary
Henry M. “Hank” Robinkoff, age 83, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 2018.
Hank served in the US Army from 1964-1965. He spent his teenage summers selling ice-cream treats at Coney Island dressed as the “Good Humor Man,” and worked for many years as a refuse collector (or as he liked to say, a “Professor of Garbology”) for the city of New York, where he retired. He was a cat lover from a young age and enjoyed the company of all his furry friends. He loved bowling and weight-lifting as a young man and tapped into his creative side post-retirement making hand-made holiday and home décor items to spruce up his home. He spoke his mind, enjoyed telling stories (often the same ones over and over), had a good sense of humor and liked to laugh. He loved sweets, especially rainbow cookies, and could eat Chinese food every night of the week! He was quite a character and will be missed.
Hank was a proud father and is survived by his son, Rich (Nikki) Robinkoff of North Ridgeville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Rose Robinkoff, and mother, Gertrude Robinkoff.
Burial will be a private ceremony at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville. To send an online condolence, please see www.bognerfamilyfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Henry’s name to Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
