Helen Yuhas' Obituary
Helen Yuhas (nee Snyder), age 90, of Olmsted Township, passed away peacefully Friday, December 23, 2022, at her home. She was born in Bentleyville, PA and had been a resident of Olmsted Township for 60 years. She worked as a home economics teacher for Firelands school and then mostly as a homemaker. She was a member of Cross Community Church Assembly of God in Elyria. Helen enjoyed the outdoors on her farm. She was a pianist and played for church services, had a deep love for children and ministries, and would also take any to church who was not able. She is survived by her children Michael J. Yuhas of Olmsted Township with whom she lived, Joseph Davis of Westlake, David O’Connor of PA; 2 grandchildren; brother Paul Snyder of Washington, PA, sister Frances Kish of West Babylon, NY; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Michael in 2017; parents William and Frances (nee Twardeck) Snyder; brothers William J. Snyder, Theodore Snyder. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4-7pm and Friday from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, and will be livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook Page. Pastor Randy McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cross Community Church Assembly of God 525 N. Abbe Rd., Elyria.
