Helen Nimick's Obituary
Helen Y. Nimick (nee Donnell), age 85, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, following a long illness.
She was born in Mansfield and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1997 moving from Olmsted Township. She also had lived in Cleveland.
Mrs. Nimick worked for Morgan Lithograph in Cleveland for 15 years as an opaquer.
She was a member of Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church in North Ridgeville; a 44 year member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary District 7 Post 6676 Berea-Brookpark. She was past district president of the 7th District.
She enjoyed making crafts.
Survivors include her son Robert J. Jackson Jr. of North Ridgeville; daughters Barbara Breitenbach of Grafton, Judith Mullins of Malta, Carole Bergin of Erie, Michigan; sister Betty Kies of Oberlin; 26 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve; parents, Fred and Theresa Donnell and brother Carl Donnell.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. The VFW Post 9871 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a wake service Friday evening in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM in the funeral home.
Rev. Paul Oberhaus, Pastor of Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
