Helen M. Buckwald's Obituary
Helen M. Buckwald (nee Evans), age 70, of Elyria, passed away on March 7, 2015 at the New Life Hospice of St. Joseph in Lorain after a brief illness.
She was born on January 30, 1945 in Akron, Ohio and has been a resident of Elyria for the past 22 years, moving from Olmsted Falls.
Helen had worked as a medical assistant in an Obstetricians office and was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Elyria.
She enjoyed knitting, plastic canvas work and was an avid reader. She also volunteered her time working the Smart Choice Foods program for the Murray Ridge Church of God for 10 years and served hot meals at the Community United Methodist Church.
Helen is survived by her dear friend Pat Gregory of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Buckwald in 1987.
Memorial Service Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Community United Methodist Church, 680 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Rev. Don Lare will officiate. Interment will be private.
