Helen Bailey's Obituary
Helen J. Bailey, 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
Helen was born in Covington, Virginia on July 3, 1922 and lived in Lewisburg, WV and Weirdwood, WV before settling in North Ridgeville in 1961. She worked as a sales associate at J.C. Penney's, retiring in 1986.
Helen was a member of the North Ridgeville Church of God, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the church's "Willing Workers." She was an avid reader, loved travelling, but most enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by her sons, Jack (Norma) Bailey of North Ridgeville, Ray (Lynn) Bailey of North Ridgeville; daughter Pat Foster of Stuart, VA; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Dempsey Bailey in 1973; parents Samuel and Hannah Burger; brothers Ray and Samuel; sisters Louise, Mabel and Virginia "Bunny"; and son-in-law Thomas S. Foster.
Friends may call at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens.
