Hazel E. Smith's Obituary
Hazel Eulynn Smith (nee Morrison), age 85, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Hazel
moved to Ohio from Alabama with her husband, Bill after they married on May 25, 1955. She
worked at Cleveland Trust in Cleveland, Ohio as a key punch operator. Hazel’s family was her
world. She loved and adored her husband Bill, married for 61 years before his passing in 2016.
Everything revolved around her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed teaching her skills of
crafting, cooking, baking, and singing along to old country music. Hazel believed in her faith in
God and instilled that belief to all of her family. Hazel is survived by her sister Patricia Osmer of
Alabama; four children Glenn (Brenda) Smith of Avon, Cheryl (Robert) Lesure of Wooster,
Karen (James) Makowski of Columbia Station, Sandra (Gerald) Mits of The Plains; ten
grandchildren Daniel, Stacy, Michelle, Pamella, Kristina (Jamie), Kalynne, Bradley (Danielle),
Jacqueline, Stephanie, Meghan and six great grandchildren Joshua, Logan, Faith, Taylor, Avery,
and Mariah. She was preceded in death by her husband William C. Smith; parents Nettie and
Nolan Morrison; brothers Douglas and Dalton Morrison. Visitation Sunday from 2-5pm at
Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville, Ohio. Funeral service
Monday at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Avon,
Ohio.
