Hazel Ann Sferry's Obituary
Hazel Ann Sferry (nee Walland), age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Avon Place Nursing Home.
She was born in Lakewood and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 18 years moving from Fairview Park.
She worked as a manager for AT & T, retiring in 1987 after 30 years.
Hazel was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church in North Ridgeville and was active with the 75th Division US Army Infantry’s annual reunion. She loved rescuing animals and gardening.
Survivors include her brother, Jay Walland and sister, Jan Stewart both of North Ridgeville; nieces Sherry Newell, Paula Moes, Julie Walland and nephew, Jason Walland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer “Tony” Sferry; parents, Clyde and Margaret (nee Wilmoth) Walland.
Services will be private.
Memorials are suggested in Hazel’s name to the Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035.
