Hazel Leffew's Obituary
Hazel Leffew (nee Janow) age 89 of North Ridgeville passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Renaissance, Olmsted Township under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve. She was born March 30, 1920 in Dayton, TN and had resided in North Ridgeville since 1952. She was a former member of the North Ridgeville Church of God. A homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and puzzles. Survivors include daughters, Mary (Merle) Goodrich of Trenton, FL, Martha Wilkey of Lafayette, GA, and Kathy (Eric) Fritz of Amherst, sons, Paul (Carol) Leffew of Deltona, FL, Kenneth Leffew of Fort Lauderdale, FL, David (Suzanne) Leffew of Pennfield, Dennis Leffew of Elyria and Michael (Debbie) Leffew of Brunswick, 22 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren, sisters, Mettie Dooden and Kathleen Wilkey, both of Dayton, TN and a brother, Carl Janow of Crossville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Leffew in 2002, by her parents, Strother and Nanni Janow, a grandson, Randy Goodrich, sisters, Delia, Lucinda and Ruth and by brothers, Jim, Marvin, Davis and John. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday, February 18, 2010 in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday. Hazel's son-in-law, Rev. Merle Goodrich will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
