Harvey Kjaer's Obituary
Harvey P. Kjaer, age 79, of North Ridgeville, died Friday at EMH Regional Medical Center, following a short illness.
He was born in Egum, Denmark and had lived in North Ridgeville since 1936.
He served in the United States Army during World War II
He worked as a machinist for 36 years at the Bendix-Westinghouse Company, Elyria. He retired in 1983. He also was a member of the UAW.
Mr. Kjaer enjoyed gardening, reading, swimming and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marie Ann (nee Tracy) Kjaer; daughters, Diane St. Clair, Barbara Smith and Donna (Kenneth)Napier, all of North Ridgeville; son, Brian (Randi) Kjaer, of North Ridgeville; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; sister Hilma Radon, of Edwards, Mississippi.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Niels and Cecile (nee Nielson) Kjaer and brother Ardnt Kjaer.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where prayers will be said at 9:30 AM on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at Saint Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, Pastor of St. Peter Church, North Ridgeville will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon
