Harry A. "Mickey" Livingston's Obituary
Harry A. “Mickey” Livingston, age 79, of North Ridgeville passed away Friday November 7, 2014 at his home following a short battle with cancer.
He was born in Cleveland and had resided in North Ridgeville the past 10 years. He had previously lived in Cleveland for most of his life along with Brookpark and Vermilion.
Mr. Livingston served in the US Naval Reserves for eight years.
He served on the Cuyahoga County Sherriff Department for 24 years earning the rank of Sergeant.
He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church in Sheffield. He was also a member of several veteran groups, including the VFW Post 9871 in North Ridgeville, VFW, Vermilion, AMVETS, Vermilion and the American Legion in Vermilion where he was active in the 40-8 club.
He enjoyed spending the summers with family and friends at Kelley’s Island where he played the Piano at The Village Pump and The Casino. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, family vacations, and communicating on his CB radio.
Survivors include his three sons, Mark (Sharon) of Cleveland, Harry (Debbie) of Parma Heights and Kevin (Teri) Livingston of North Ridgeville, eight grandchildren, two sisters, Sally Willis and Nancy Perruchon both of Marblehead and his brother, Gary Livingston of Vermilion.
He was preceded in death by his wife Louise in 2011, and his parents, Harry and Gertrude Livingston.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Pastor Ray Lovett will officiate.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where the VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors.
