Harry A. Knappage's Obituary
Harry A. Knappage, age 87, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born in Cleveland, grew up in Olmsted Falls and had spent the last 5 years in North Ridgeville. He previously lived in North Olmsted and Florida.
Harry served in the US Army from 1954-1962 during the Korean Conflict.
He worked in communications for Ohio Bell for 47 years.
He was a member of VFW Post 9871 in North Ridgeville, American Legion Post 12, Columbia Station Eagles and the Elyria Elks. He enjoyed being a handyman around his house.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Marie (nee Teresi), children, Debbie (Ken) Evilsizer of Westlake, Eddie (Lisa) Knappage of Medina, Harry Jr. (Genie) Knappage of Brecksville; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, step daughter Carol Ramsey, sisters, Peggy Sustar, Penny Sigler, Patti (Richard) Sherba, Nancy Ondus, many nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Collette Knappage, stepdaughter, Michelle Teresi, and sister, Joanne Drellishak.
Memorial visitation Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 4 pm until the time of service at 5 pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Pastor Allan Jenkins will officiate.
Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve, Seville, OH.
