Harry Alpine's Obituary
Harry R. Alpine, age 63 of Avon, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorian follwoing a short illness.
He was born June 9, 1941 in Cleveland. He had resided in Avon the past 10 months moving from Westlake. He had lived most of his life in North Ridgeville.
He is a Graduate of West Tech High School Cleveland.
Mr. Alpine retired from George Kline News Company where he had worked 30 years before retiring in 1999. He has worked part time since 1999 at Lake Erie Nature and Science Center in Bay Village.
He was a member of Member of Holy Trinty Catholic Church, Avon, and the Teamsters Union Local 473.
Mr. Alpine was an auxillary police officer for the City of North Ridgeville from 1976 thru 1984, He also was a volunteer fireman in Independence in the 1960's.
Mr. Alpine was an avid sports fan and played and coached softball and coached Pee-Wee Football in North Ridgeville.
Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Catherine A. (nee Ciprus) 3 Sons, Terry Alpine of North Ridgeville, John Alpine of North Ridgeville, James Alpine of Columbia Station; 2 Daughters, Jill Smith of Parma Heights, Sue Noonan of Parma; , twelve grandchildren; 2 Brothers, Ronald Alpine of Lakewood, David Alpine of Avon Lake; and his Sister, Diane Stanek of Las Vegas, NV.
He was preceded in death by Parents Harry Sr. and Elizabeth Alpine.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-9, Friday, July 16 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. A prayer servie will be held 9:15 AM Saturday in the funeral home followed by 10:00 AM Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Avon. Rev. John Misenko, Pastor will be the celebrant.
Private burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
