Harriet Johnson's Obituary
Harriet Loretta Johnson (nee Harper), age 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake, following a long illness.
She was born in Geneva and been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1961.
Harriet was a homemaker and had been employed with Green Circle Growers in Columbia Station.
She was a member of North Eaton Baptist Church, where she was active with the Ladies Quilting Circle and taught Sunday School for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, playing Scrabble and spending winters in Arizona. Harriet was known as an optimistic and Godly woman who was a "people person" and animal lover. Her greatest enjoyment was in her family.
Survivors include her children, Dane (Barbara) Johnson of Tucson, Arizona, Darryl Johnson of North Ridgeville, Doraine Meldrum Toms of Put-in-Bay, Dale (Jillian) Johnson of Columbus, Sara (Dean) Mason of Elyria, Neal (Josie) Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Flora Smith of North Ridgeville, Nilene (Phil) Cain of Wauseon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Johnson, April 15, 1996; son-in-law, Robert Toms; sisters, Betty Luce, Olive Eyring; parents, Henry and Cora Harper.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at North Eaton Baptist Church, 12109 S. Reed Rd. Rev. Stephen Carter, Pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp.
