Harold E. Nida's Obituary
Harold E. Nida, age 86, of St. Cloud, Florida, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at St. Cloud Regional Hospital following a short illness.
He was born in Walton, West Virginia and had been a resident of St. Cloud since 2010 moving from Spencer. He had lived most of his life in Elyria.
Harold served in the US Army during WWII.
He worked in sales for Firestone Tire in Akron for 25 years, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Christian Unity Church in North Eaton.
In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Deleen; daughters, Diane (Larry) Fox of Spencer, Sheila (Ed) Nau of Elyria, Marsha (Willie) Bias of Wellington, Julie Freeman of Akron; son, Rick (Denise) Nida of Elyria; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clifford Nida of Tampa, Florida, Ross Nida of Spencer, WV; sisters, Eupha Huff of Spencer WV, Pauline Higgenbottom of Parkersburg, WV and Joyce Kiser of Walton, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Lora Nida; brother, Leslie Nida; sister, Crystal Nida and great-grandson, Evan Nau.
Friends may call Thursday from 5PM-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville and Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM at Christian Unity Church 36353 W. Capel Rd., North Eaton. Rev. William Bias will officiate.
Burial will be in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Twp.
