Harold R. "Joe" Kumro's Obituary
Harold “Joe” Kumro, age 79, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the St. John Medical Center in Westlake after a lengthy illness.
He was born on August 29, 1940 in Buffalo, New York and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 49 years. Joe was a member of St. Mary of the Falls Church in Olmsted falls and worked as a certified welder at the Ford Motor Company, retiring in 2005 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Elyria Masonic Center and held a multi-engine pilot’s license.
In his free time, Joe enjoyed hunting and powerboating, anything with a lot of speed, and spending time with his family.
Joe was survived by his wife of 59 years, April (nee Coleman) Kumro; daughter Cheryl Ann (Bernard) Mehen of North Ridgeville; grandsons Randall Richard (Shannon) and Matthew James Mehen; great granddaughter Madelyn Mehen and another great grandchild due in February; sister Victoria (Joseph) Mercurio of Norton, Ohio; brother in law James Mervar of Willowick; Godson Joseph Mercurio of Huber Heights; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Irene (nee Cieslak) Kumro; sisters Simone (John) Kotis and Barbara Mervar; brother Michael Kulavick.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. where a prayer service will be held on Friday at 10:15 preceding a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Falls Church, 25615 Bagley Rd., Olmsted Falls, OH 44138. Rev.Robert Cole will officiate. Interment will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
Family suggests donations be made to St. Mary of the Falls Church.
