Harold F. Donelon's Obituary
Harold F. Donelon, age 81, of Olmsted Twp., passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Metro Health Medical Center.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Olmsted Falls for the past 47 years, moving from Lakewood.
Harold served in the US Navy.
He worked as a Foreman of the welding and machine shop for East Ohio Gas Company, retiring in 1997 after 39 years.
Harold was a jack of all trades and mechanically inclined. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, traveling, and being with family.
Survivors include his sons, David (Lynda) Donelon of S. Point, Douglas (Linda) Donelon of North Ridgeville, daughter, Denise (Gene) Calai of Olmsted Twp., grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Donelon, Courtney and Krista Calai, great-grandchildren, Karter and Kayden Wheeler, sister, Laureen Pilny of Willoughby, brothers, Donald (JoAnn) Donelon of Cleveland and Martin “Bud” (Marge) Donelon of Valley City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (nee Glowacki), grandson, Allen Donelon, parents, Elmer and Katheryn Donelon, sister, Rita Pongonis.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, on Wednesday October 28, 2020 from 5-6 p.m. Memorial Service will begin at 6pm and will be live streamed on Bogner Family Funeral Home Facebook page. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
Private Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted. Due to COVID 19, face coverings and proper social distancing is required at the funeral home.
