Harold L. "Yogi" Benson's Obituary
Harold L. "Yogi" Benson, age 82, of Avon, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born in Elyria and had been a resident of Avon for the past 28 years, moving from Elyria.
Harold served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.
He worked for Englehart for 40 years, retiring in 2000.
He enjoyed playing golf and was an all-round sports enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sally (nee Smith); daughter, Bonnie Benson of Cleveland Hts. and son, Brett Benson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Daisy (nee Monroe) Benson.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Monday at 10AM in the funeral home.
Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
