Guadalupe Morales' Obituary
Guadalupe “Ruby” Morales, age 92, of Westlake, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
She was born April 30, 1919 in Parral, Chihauhau Mexico and had been a resident of Westlake for the past 40 years. She previously lived on the west side of Cleveland, Iowa and Kansas.
She graduated from Topeka High School and Grace School of Cosmetology.
Ruby owned and operated Ruby’s Beauty Salon located at Lorain and Fulton in Cleveland during the 1970’s. She then continued to work part time at local beauty shops in Westlake and Lakewood and also worked as a nanny.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Falls Parish in Olmsted Falls.
She enjoyed photography, painting, ceramics, and being active with the seniors in Westlake and Rocky River.
Survivors include her son Tino (Lana) Morales of North Olmsted; daughters, Angie Fanara of Columbia Station, Caroline (Richard) Jenkins of Berea, Linda (Steve) Ellis of Berea; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Florentino Morales Sr.; and infant daughter, Tina; son-in-law, Chuck Fanara; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Morales; siblings, Esther Perez, William Perez, Jovita Perez, Salvador Perez, Soledad Perez; parents, Gilberto R. Perez and Estafana Ramirez Perez.
Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:15 AM followed by a 10:00AM Mass at St. Mary of the Falls, 25615 Bagley Rd., Olmsted Falls, OH 44138. Rev. Sean P. Ralph will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas.
