Glen Harold McVeigh's Obituary
Glen Harold McVeigh, age 71, of Norwalk, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk after a sudden illness.
He was born on June 3, 1948 in Elyria and has lived in Norwalk for the past 20 years, moving from North Ridgeville. Glen is a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post 41 in Norwalk. He worked as a mechanic for the City of North Ridgeville for many years. Glen was always very helpful to all his friends and family and could be counted on whether to fix their car or give them a ride if needed. He enjoyed working on cars, tinkering around the house and fishing, but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy (nee Moore); sons Timothy (Donna Hauser) Moore of Grafton and David (Theresa) McVeigh of Bucyrus; daughter Deborah Price of Norwalk; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister Ellen McVeigh of North Ridgeville; brother Gary (June) McVeigh of Cleveland; many nieces and nephews. Glen was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lillian (nee Starkey) McVeigh; father and mother in law Ivan and Mary Moore; brother in law Don Moore and nephew Eric Dossa. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville where family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
