Gladys Emogene McDougal's Obituary
Gladys Emogene McDougal (nee Martin), age 79 of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully at her home Friday May 22, 2015.
Born in Pond Gap, WV, she had resided in North Ridgeville most of her life.
She enjoyed shopping, cooking, interior decorating and her grandchildren where the light of her life.
She was a member of Sar Shallom Temple, Mansfield.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Darrell,, son, Larry (Linda) Thompson of Elyria, daughter, Cheryl (Richard) Jackson of Denver, daughter, Deborah Thompson-Selman of North Ridgeville, son, Gary Thompson of Elyria, 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister, Ethelene Persinger of Glasko, WV, many nieces and nephews and “special daughters” Marilyn Wightman of Grafton and Cathy Hargis of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by son, Harold Edward Thompson, granddaughter, Kari Thompson, father, Edgar Martin, mother, Eunice (nee Hapney) Martin, 6 brothers, 4 sisters.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 11 AM until time of services at 12 Noon at the Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rabbi William Hallbrook and her nephew Bishop Richard Martin will co-officiate.
Interment will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria
