Gilmore Louis Moyer's Obituary
Gilmore Louis Moyer, known as Gil, age 73, of North Ridgeville, passed away on August 10, 2024 at
Ames Family Hospice in Westlake. He was born in Lakewood to Gilmore Walter Moyer and Mary Jane
Moyer (nee Mezzulo) and was the loving husband to Ingrid (nee Derksen) for 50 years. He was the
beloved father of Danielle (Jason) Timms and Gilmore W. (Terri) Moyer, both of Columbia Station and
cherished grandfather of four, Morgan and Andrew Timms, Gilmore R. and Wyatt Moyer. He is survived
by his sister Maria (Glenn) Cancilla and many nieces and nephews.
Gil was a graduate of Lakewood High School and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
from Cleveland State University. He held a real estate license and worked for Hunter Reality for a while.
Gil was the owner/operator of Excalibur Logistics Distribution which was a delivery service for medical
and office supplies and was rated as a top vendor for Office Max and others. In 2007 he retired due to
health reasons. He was also an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church, where he oversaw the
expansion of the preschool building.
Gil enjoyed classic cars, driving everywhere, traveling to new places, playing and watching sports. One
of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren, encouraging them to try new
experiences and sharing his valuable lessons on life.
The family will receive friends Wednesday Aug 14, 2024, from 10:30 AM until time of service at 11:30
AM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville. Pastor Joshua Ulm will
officiate.
