Gilbert "Fuz" Reising's Obituary
Gilbert “Fuz” J. Reising, age 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at Cleveland Clinic – Avon Hospital. He was born in Lorain and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 59 years. He worked as a tool and die maker for Ridge Tool in Elyria for 38 years before retiring in 1992. Fuzz was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Christ, American Legion 178 in Myrtle Beach, SC, VFW Post 274 in Wellington, Ohio State Moose Association Elyria Lodge 778, past secretary of the North Ridgeville Kiwanis. He enjoyed golfing. Fuzz is survived by his ; daughters Debbie Gardner of Wellington, Pam (Jim) Althaus of Wellington; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; daughter-in-law Amy Reising of Elyria; he was preceded in death by his wife Beverly (nee Ives); son John; parents John and Helen; 3 brothers Marvin “Doc” in 1990, Melvin, Jerry; sisters Alice Todharter-Hignett, Anna Melon Darnell; great grandsons Tyler Gardner, Christopher Johnson. The family will receive friends Monday June 3, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville. Funeral Service will be 11am, Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor Alan Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.
