Gertrude Trexler's Obituary
Gertrude H. Trexler (nee Szmante), age 79, of Grafton, OH , died Monday, February 23, 2004 at Manor Care Health Services, North Olmsted.
She was born October 23, 1924 in Nova Cerkieu, Poland, grew up in France, then moved to the United States in 1949. She had resided in North Eaton the past 43 years, moving from Cleveland.
She retired in 1991 from Teledyne in Brookpark where she had worked 26 years.
Mrs. Trexler enjoyed baking, cooking, flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 Sons, John (Linda) Trexler of North Ridgeville, Richard Trexler of Grafton, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Vally Kotowski, Martha Kunicki, 2 Brothers, Jean Szmante and Leon Szmante all of France.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Trexler in 1995, Parents, Jean and Hedwige Szmante, two brothers and three sisters..
Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday in the funeral Home. Rev. C. Michael Gibson, Pastor of Fields United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, Ohio .
