Geraldine A. Simmerly's Obituary
Geraldine A. Simmerly (nee Andrews), age 83, of North Olmsted passed away peacefully Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Ames Family Hospice Center, Westlake.
Born in Cleveland, she had resided in Brunswick for most of her life until moving to North Olmsted 15 years ago. Geraldine enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren and going to the beach when she visited Florida. She attended St. Bernadette Parish, Westlake.
Survivors include son James (Patricia) Simmerly of Valley City, daughter Michelle (Bruce) Bishilany of North Olmsted, son Scott (Donna) Simmerly of Medina; five grandchildren, Rebecca Bacogiannis, Kristin Mount, Jaclyn Gallagher, Mitchel Simmerly, Lily Bishilany; seven great grandchildren, Jake, Giana, Olivia, George, Nicholas, Declan and Teagan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Androniqi (nee Adams) Andrews; three sisters, Tefta Thomas, Margaret Silo, Alexandra Kuchta and brother Robert Andrews.
The family will be receiving guests at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 11 with a funeral mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 2256 Clague Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145. Fr. Philip G. Racco will be the celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Bernadette Parish.
