Gerald Vencel's Obituary
Gerald E. Vencel, age 68 of Avon, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 following a brief illness.
He was born October 28, 1940 in Elyria. He had been a life long resident of North Ridgeville until moving to Avon 10 years ago.
Mr. Vencel served in the US Navy from 1961-1967.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Mr. Vencel retired from Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. in 1993 after 30 years of service where he was a Plant Control Room Operator.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin at Georgian Bay Township in Ontario Canada.
Surviving are his brother, Richard (Betty) Vencel of North Ridgeville, Sister, Linda Vencel of Avon; 2 Nieces, Gayle (Greg) Stanfield and Tracy (Paul) Franklin of Chagrin Falls.
He was preceded in death by Parents, Frank and Loretta Vencel, and his niece, Vicki Dickerhoff.
Private services and burial will take place at St. Peter Church, North Ridgeville.
