Gerald Swartz's Obituary
Gerald B. Swartz Sr., age 99, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday July 2, 2006 at the North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville, after a short illness.
He was born in Akron and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1998 moving from Akron. He also lived in Margate, Florida for 30 years.
Mr. Swartz was a supervisor at the Good Year Tire and Rubber Company in Akron for 39 years retiring in 1964.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling, golfing and was an avid reader.
Survivors include his wife of 78 years, Marcella (nee Arnold); son, Gerald Jr. of Marion; daughter, Marilyn Lux of Amherst; ten grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. And Rose T. (nee Schreiner) Swartz; brothers John, Charles, Hamilton, Leonard; sisters, Esther Smith and Thelma Trommer.
A Memorial Mass will be held on, Monday, August 7th at 10:00AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter Memorial Fund, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039.
