Gerald L. Snyder's Obituary
Gerald L. Snyder, age 77, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a short illness.
He was born in Cheektowaga, New York and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1998 moving from North Olmsted.
Gerald served in the National Guard.
He worked as a Budget Analyst for NASA, retiring in 1993 after 27 years.
He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church in North Olmsted where he was the past treasurer and active with the men’s bible study group and the building committee.
Gerald enjoyed watching the Stock Market and was an avid football fan.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; sons, Jeffrey Snyder of Newport, Kentucky; Gary Snyder of Elyria; daughter, Lynn (Reynold) DeChant of North Ridgeville; children by marriage, Daniel (Michelle) Foust of Strongsville, Timothy (Erin) Foust of Avon Lake; 11 grandchildren; brother, Ronald Snyder of Springfield, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faith; parents, Joseph and Mildred Snyder.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11AM at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Pastor Tom MacMillan will officiate.
