Gerald A. Polomsky's Obituary
Gerald A. Polomsky, age 76, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1977.
Mr. Polomsky served in the US Navy from 1958-1962.
He worked in Information Technology for Sherwin-Williams for 37 years, retiring in 1999.
He was an active member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church in North Ridgeville where he was a Eucharistic minister, PSR teacher, sang in the choir and was also involved with the youth and prison ministries. Gerald was also in the Cursillo #71.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Kay (nee Knapik); daughters, Karen Ryan (Patrick Lysaght) of Avon, Laura (Scott) Leili of North Ridgeville, Kate Hossler of Olmsted Falls; son, Kevin (Kim) Polomsky of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Spencer (Kristine), John and Julia Leili, Haley, Jack Polomsky, Jake Hossler; great-grandchild, Brogan; sister, Mary Ann Metyk of Fairview Park; brother, Martin (Sandra) Polomsky of Middlefield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Helen (nee Seman) Polomsky and brother-in-law, John Metyk.
Friends may call Tuesday 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10AM at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Rd., N. Ridgeville. Rev. George Vrable, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Please meet at the church. Inurnment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
