Georgie L. Hess' Obituary
Georgie L. Hess (nee Keene), age 86, of LaGrange, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2017 at Keystone Pointe Nursing Home in LaGrange with her family by her side, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1931 in Fork Ridge, Virginia and has been a resident of Lagrange for the past 11 years, moving from Columbia Station and was a member of the LaGrange Church of God.
Georgie enjoyed crocheting and sewing, but her greatest joy was found in being an active member of her church and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Rev. Larry D. (Loretta) Hess of Lakeland, FL, daughters Deborah Lynn (Rev. Danny) Wright of Wellington and Laura “Renee” (Steven) Hess Hicks of LaGrange; son-in-law Michael Krenciglova; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister Madeline Braley; brothers Junior (Dorothy) Keene and Donald (Doris) Keene; many nieces and nephews.
Georgie was preceded in death by her husband Harry; children Barbara Krenciglova, David Curtis Hess and Martha Jane Hess; granddaughter Michelle Dawn Hess; parents Flem Curtis and Avie Octava (nee Davis) Keene; brothers Curtis and Harold Keene.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the LaGrange Church of God, 502 N. Center St., LaGrange 44050 where Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Danny Wright, Pastor and son-in-law and son Rev. Larry Hess will co-officiate. Burial to follow in Pittsfield Cemetery.
