Georgia M Barnes' Obituary
Georgia M. Barnes (nee Culp), age 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville following a long illness.
She was born in Lodi and grew up in Medina County. She had resided in Berea for 21 years before moving to Houston, TX in 1980, then back to North Ridgeville and Elyria area in 1985.
A graduate of Medina High School, she received her nursing degree from Jane Adams School of Nursing, she also was a graduate of Light School of Ministry in 1983.
Mrs. Barnes was an LPN at Metro Health Medical Center and other area hospitals.
She enjoyed working with her hands, especially crocheting, sewing and needle work. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians Fan.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy and Randal Barnes of Tucson, Arizona, and Dale
Barnes of Downsville, NY, daughters, Bonita Swanberg of Oil City, PA, Laurie Sandberg of Surf City, NC, 26 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Barnes in 1983, son Terrence Barnes, daughter Melanie Stanley, six brothers and three sisters.
Private inurnment will take place with her husband at Houston National Cemetery.
