George Weber's Obituary
George M. Weber, age 87, of Westlake, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Saint John Westshore Hospital, Westlake; following a short illness.
He was born in Cleveland, and had been a resident of Westlake for the past 13 years; having moved from North Olmsted where he had lived most of his life.
He served in the United States Army during WWII from 1942-1945. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Mr. Weber was a supervisor for the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line for 30 years and retired in 1976. He then worked in maintenance at the Great Northern Mall from 1976 until 1994.
He attended North Eaton Christian Unity Church.
He was a life member of the AMVETS
He was a handy mans handy man ,and enjoyed photography, taping family gatherings, bowling and had ran track at Parma High School.
Survivors include his wife, Reba M. (nee Wiley) Weber; daughters, Diane Kemer-Yagielo, of Wellington and Sylvia Leeseberg, of Naperville, IL; step-son, Allan Smith, of Dunwoody, GA; step-daughter, Jeanne Maschari; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; brother, Albert Weber, of Kalamazoo, MI; sisters, Laverne Meyer, of Springfield, OH and Evelyn, Meyer, of Marysville, OH.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Weber, in 1989; granddaughter, Mary Ann Kemer;parents, George and Anna Mary (nee Schumane) Weber.
Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 Am at the North Eaton Christian Unity Church,36353 W. Capel Road, North Eaton. Burial will be in Assumption of Mary Cemetery, Cleveland; where the North Ridgeville VFW Post 9871 will conduct a full military honors service.
