George T. Meehan's Obituary
George T. Meehan, age 88, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
Born in Pikeville, Kentucky and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1999. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York before moving to North Ridgeville in 1967. From 1981-1997, he lived in Greenwich, Ohio.
Mr. Meehan served in the US Army during WWII.
He worked in sales and service for Fairbanks-Morse Company, Howe Scale Company, Toledo Scale Company and Ashland Scale Company, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his son, Jerry (Marie) of Charleston, South Carolina; daughters, Kathleen Cornell of Columbus, Maureen (Chuck) Vinicky of North Ridgeville, Deborah Committe of Greenwich, Marilyn (Kevin) Stover of Broomfield, Colorado, Colleen (Paul) Dietrich of Norwalk; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Fallon) Meehan; parents, Thomas and Belle Meehan; brother, Thomas; sisters, Joan Church and Marilyn Walsh and two grandsons.
Friends may call Sunday from 1PM until the time of Memorial Service at 2PM in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
