George McElhaney's Obituary
George L. McElhaney, age 65, of Elyria, died Friday at New Life Hospice Residential Center of St. Joseph's, Lorain following a short illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Elyria for the past year moving from North Ridgeville where he had lived for most of his life.
Mr. McElhaney served in the US Navy from 1956-1960.
He worked as a laborer for a roofing company, and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include sons Ronald and Randy McElhaney both of Grand Rapids, Michigan; brothers Paul of North Ridgeville, David of Cleveland, Tennessee; sisters, Nancy Hall of Soldier, Kentucky, Janice Hunt and Sharon McElhaney both of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Betty Alexander of Ft. Myers, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter Lisa McElhaney; his parents Paul and Rose (nee Foster) McElhaney; and one grandson.
Friends may call Monday from 9:00AM until the time of services at 11:00AM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
