George Charters' Obituary
George F. Charters, 91, passed away suddenly on September 24, 2011 at his home in North Ridgeville.
George was born on April 19, 1920 in Cleveland. He lived for a while on a farm in Huntington, Rocky River and North Olmsted, before settling in North Ridgeville for the last 40 years. Throughout his life he tried many different professions, and was particularly proud of being a mason with Chaplin Masonry.
George loved to be outside, especially working in his garden. He also loved animals and his independence! He was a member of the Grace Church of North Olmsted.
George is survived by his sister-in-law Terry Murray of Fairview Park and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Genevieve (nee Murray) in 1988, and his parents, George A. and Dorothea (nee Larson) Charters.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A funeral service from the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11 AM. Interment Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River.
