George T. Bacik's Obituary
George T. Bacik, age 95, of Westlake, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born in Cleveland and resided in North Ridgeville and Westlake for most of his life.
George worked for the US Postal Services, retiring in 1996 after forty years of dedication. He was a member of St. Ladislas Parish, Westlake.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War. In his spare time, George enjoyed golfing and bowling.
George is survived by sons Richard (Laura) Bacik of Olmsted Falls, Paul Bacik of Westlake, George (Janet) Bacik of North Ridgeville; daughter Ellen (Scott) Zimdars of Westland, Michigan; grandchildren Alyssa, Keith, Emily, Andrew, and Evan; great-grandchildren Amelia and Landon.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (nee Myers); parents Helen (nee Hrosz) and Michael Bacik; sisters Mary Ondrisek, Irene Bacik, Helen Ernest, Dorothy Skladany and brother Michael Bacik.
A memorial mass will be held 10 AM Saturday January 31, 2026 at St. Ladislas Parish 2345 Bassett Rd, Westlake, Ohio 44145 where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 AM. Rev. Mark Latcovich will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Avon with full military honors by the US Army and VFW Post 9871.
