Genevieve J. "Joan" Bedock's Obituary
Genevieve J. “Joan” Bedock (nee Dobrowski), age 81, of North Olmsted, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake, of natural causes.
She was born in Elyria and had been a resident of North Olmsted for the past 13 years, moving from North Ridgeville, where she had lived since 1972.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
Genevieve enjoyed playing BINGO, taking long walks and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Thomas; daughter, Kathy Jo Bedock of Elyria; sons, Ken (Lori) of Franklin, Tennessee, Ray of New Port News, Virginia, Ed of San Francisco, California, David (Veronica Mayfield) of Brunswick, Michael (Rachelle) of Elyria, Don (Kristin) of Lakeville, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Cyran of Amherst, Mary Rybarcyk of Lorain, Verna Sabo of Elyria, Ann Bycynski of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine (nee Krusiewski) Dobrowski; sisters, Theresa Dobrowski, Sophie Golski, Stella Majka; brothers, John Dobrowski Jr., Joseph Dobrowski and Dr. Stanley Dobrowski.
Friends may call Friday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30AM followed by a 10AM Mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
