Gene Naylor's Obituary
Gene A. Naylor, 72 of North Ridgeville died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at the Riverview Point Nursing Home, Olmsted Falls following a short illness.
He was born November 7, 1934 in Point Pleasant, WV. Mr. Naylor had lived in Berea since 1961 until moving to North Ridgeville in 1998. He was employed as an accountant for Cappus Company, retiring in 1999. He was a US Army Veteran, and a member of the Strongsville United Methodist Church. Mr. Naylor enjoyed attending and working at dog shows, and was a member of the Lorain County Kennel Club and the Northcoast Kennel Club.
Surviving are his wife of forty-seven years, Miyako Naylor (nee Yamamoto); two sons, Toshiuky Scott Mikuriya of California and John Akagi (Cindy) of Hawaii; daughter, Mari Schurz (David) of California; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Mikio, and Kori Akagi, and a sister, Joann Hoseley (Emmett) of Akron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irene Naylor (nee Strosnider). A
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday June 3 at 1:30PM at the Strongsville United Methodist Church, 13354 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, 44136 with Rev. Ronald A. Mowry officiating. Private burial will be in the Ohio National Western Reserve Cemetery, Rittman.
