Gary A. Halvin's Obituary
Gary A. Halvin, age 76, of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, after a short illness. He was born in McKeesport, PA and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 10 years. He worked as a union carpenter before retiring in 2010. He was a member of St. Julie Billiart Church and the Prime Timers. Gary enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, telling jokes, but especially spending time with his grandchildren. He could fix just about anything. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Harriet (nee Hutchison); children Elizabeth “Beth” (Don) Masingo of Lenexa, VA, Mary (Jon) Brinton of Strongsville; grandchildren Corey (Rachel), McKenna, Morgan; brother Ron (Jean Anne) Halvin; Sister Kathleen (John) Gannis; sister-in-law Sue Halvin; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson Kevin; parents John C. and Catherine; brother Tim; sister-in-law Heidi. Family will receive friends Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 10am until mass of Christian burial at 11am, at St. Julie Billiart Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Rd., North Ridgeville.
